THE US OPEN - FIRST ROUND LEADER

US Open – First Round Leader

With the weather forecast now throwing in the potential for some stronger winds on Thursday I have chosen to go with four bigger priced selections in this market, and to hedge my bets with regards to the unpredictable nature of the weather I have gone with two from the AM wave and two from the PM wave.

So in no order other than there…

It was a disappointing finish to the week for us at the Fedex St Jude with Brian Gay missing out on the places for us by a shot and our other two players in with a good shout of the frame going in to Sunday, CT Pan and Scott Stallings, both having disappointing final rounds.

Congratulations though to Dustin Johnson who turned in a superb performance…

So it was a great week at the Memorial with Bryson Dechambeau delivering a 50-1 winner for us.

He certainly put us through the mill missing an 8ft putt on 18 to win in regulation before finally getting the job done in a three man play off.

It was our third play off this season and after the heartbreak of Beau Hossler and Si Woo Kim it…

It was undoubtedly a fantastic display from Justin Rose at the Fort Worth Invitational but it was a disappointing week from our end of things.

None of our main team got going at all and it was all downhill after Zach Johnson eagled the first hole on Thursday!

So let’s move on…

The PGA Tour has now finished it’s stint in Texas…

It was an interesting week in Dallas at the AT & T Byron Nelson with the new course looking like it will make a good addition to the PGA Tour roster.

It was a shame the wind didn’t blow a bit more over the first two days and with the rain softening things on Sunday it was only really on Saturday that the track bared it’s teeth.

You…

It was another frustrating ‘nearly’ week for us at TPC with both Poulter on our main team & Sabbatini as our FRL pick falling one shot shy of a place [and in Sabbatini’s case a share of the win as well] return.

Still this is all part of golf betting and of course you would like to think that over a season these kind of things even themselves out.

So…

FIRST ROUND LEADER

Two picks for me in this as follows;

JONAS BLIXT 250-1 ½ pt e/w 1/5 odds 1st 6  LOST

First up is the Swede Jonas Blixt.

It’s been a pretty lean time for Jonas over the past couple of years with not much to show results…

It was a frustrating week for us with our main team at Quail Hollow with most of them performing poorly based on our expectations. The one exception was Grillo who looked like snatching a full place for us with a strong final round until he finished bogey, bogey to end up in 9th place.

What wasn’t frustrating however was the performance…

Well I must confess the Zurich Classic somewhat passed me by. Despite all making the cut our teams were never able to get in to serious contention and in the end the final round petered out in a deserved but unexciting victory for Billy Horschel & Scott Piercy.

If there was a lesson to be learned from their victory it was that may be trying…

Zurich Classic Of New Orleans

Zurich Classic Of New Orleans

It was another profitable week for us in Texas with Jimmy Walker bringing us a full e/w return.

At one stage as Walker stood on the 14th tee it looked like he might get in to serious contention as Landry and Mullinax started to look a bit jittery at the head of affairs.

However Jimmy made an ugly bogey 6 on the par 5 14th and…
